Robert Liland founded Ascend Products, LLC in 2006 after realizing that a quiet, easy-to-install elevator dampening device didn’t exist. A tinkerer by nature, Liland created the initial design concepts, which were then presented to elevator companies in the Northeast.

The design proved marketable – and the SteadyRoller became a big seller for the company as it solved numerous challenges for the elevator industry.

Elevator companies across the U.S., including CED, Liberty Electric, PSI, and Thyssen-Krupp, use the SteadyRoller dampening device.

The product is manufactured in the USA.
